okay. so i'm alive~ i've just had this stupid massive writer's block ever since i came back from vacation. in an attempt to shake it off...
comment with a pairing and a one-word prompt, and i'll write you a drabble. you can comment as many times as you'd like, but only one prompt per comment. i'll try to get it done as soon as possible, but

hankyung looks at heechul, and sometimes it reminds him of butterflies. butterflies that he would chase around as a kid with endless dreams and possibilities that are just floating free, like the delicate wings of a butterfly. heechul, with his soft hair and big eyes and insane character that always seems to be floating away.

that's how it was when they first met as trainees.

heechul still reminds him of butterflies. these days, heechul's wings are weighed down with schedules and managers telling him what he has to do. his character is still there, but instead of it just being heechul, heechul the way hankyung knows heechul, it's rebelling on television shows and snark; the fans love it anyways, but hankyung loves heechul.

when they practice their dancing with the rest of the members, and hankyung catches heechul's eye in the mirror that covers one wall, hankyung falters for that second, and a few after because he almost hates what he sees as much as he thinks it's beautiful, stunning. he looks at heechul, with his not quite coordinated limbs, but his mind's flashing images at him, from when he was a teenager and visited a bug exhibit while on a class field trip. butterflies pinned to walls behind glass casing. it's heechul hankyung sees again in the mirror's reflection, and he wonders what heechul's glass casing is.

some days, heechul slips under hankyung's covers and he's used to it so he barely stirs to wrap his arms around heechul's waist and pulls him close. heechul's chin digs until hankyung's chest, but he doesn't mind, and just softly rubs circles into heechul's back when he feels dampness against his shirt.

heechul sniffles, doesn't say he's crying, and hankyung tries hard not to think of butterflies trapped between notebook pages reserved for eternity, too broken to fly.
