and soda does seem to slow them down, so use those cans of overheated shaken up fizz bang like you mean it!

i am outside of the city now... there is a lot of smoke, i would guess people using fire as a weapon and it got out of control.

NEWS:
asafoetida and garlic powder works too. after the sage didnt work, i figured there was no point in frying my nose. but it works.
the smelly part, of plain asafoetida kills your odor to them, i guess you smell like just another corpse.
but if you throw a bag full of garlic and asafoetida at one of them they actually combust! i am allergci to garlic, so didnt try the garlic by itself, but had a bag of this from a friend, and it was all i had to throw at one.
salt just makes them die, they just STOP
Asafoetida seems to make them combust.. but they dont actually stop until the finish burning. this may explain some of the fires. it wont keep them off you, but it may help someone figure it out....
some folks said it was the garlic being anti bacterial..... i dont know.
