It's good that Panera is doing things for the community. It's a pity that their restaurants are so absolutely terrible about food allergies.

i cannot eat there. they only have a handful of things i am not alergic to and those are things i do not like.. so...
why? whats their stance on food alergens?

They're very unpleasant about custom orders on sandwiches; the employees will argue that maybe it won't hurt you too badly because it would take soooo long for them to make something custom. We tried multiple locations, at non-busy times, and let them know we were okay with the 5 minute wait they kept insisting we'd have. The last time, there were 4 employees lounging about behind the counter, doing nothing at all, and they spent a good 4 minutes trying to talk me out of a sandwich that wouldn't make me sick, before we left. When we complained to corporate, corporate was downright rude. We've been boycotting them since.
