opinions?

let me lay it all out and get some opinions

1. there is a comic con (media , star trek, etc) in my home city. (so no hotel bills) not my usual customer, but then people buy the darndest things and its over 10,000 people... plus one of the celebs is actually a relative and promised to "shop" at my table.. which should help.
that is a 600 dollar booth fee (discounted rate yes) payment due before the con, or cash on load in.

the convention is may 31-june 2.
i HATE to bet a repayment on making enough at a con... but it seems like a safe bet... i mean to at least make enough to pay the booth fee and call it a bad lesson. hopefully of course you make a LOT more than your booth fee.
but maybe i am being too optimistic?

complication:
2. i am about to go live (after this weekend) with an Indiegogo fundraiser for a business project, so the issue is i am about to start raising money for a capital investment in my business right after i am potentially asking for a short term loan for something else!

(actually want to buy a machine felter.. have you seen my you tube videos of what it can do?) so i can use TINY scraps of yarn and fabric to make clutches or pins, or wedding memory book covers, or decorative fabric for jackets....

by combining stitching with actually bonding the fabrics with the machine felter, i can help friends go "totally waste free" by using all those scraps for other products... plus my wedding planning friends love the idea of using wedding dress scraps to make things.

so i have two things i am about to ask /raise money for:

1. a short term "money for a con booth" that is i THINK low risk

2. longer term zero risk fundraiser (because people contribute and get perks... so all the risk is that the machine doesn't actually make me money but would still be useful for school)

both to start/get asked about/ um.. within a week or less of each other.
sigh

i am wondering if i should just skip comic con  (the event) because of the confusion, but it seems like such an opportunity....
