i will be at Zenkaikon vending friday and saturday
http://www.zenkaikon.com/index.php(vending hours are 3-8 friday and i think 10 -6 sat.)
wish me good sales! and come visit me if you are in the area.
now... question....
i have a project idea. it started with my school work for this quarter, but would be useful beyond that.. probably
Basically i am currently needle feting designs onto a wool coat for school. this is a LOT of hand needle felting.
naturaly i thought longingly about a needle feting machine
lo and behold they mention needle felting SILK DUPIONI! in this month's Threads magazine
i find out how much more you can do with needle felting than i knew about!
i began to get rather grandiose ideas about some of the design work, both for school and for sale right now, i could do if i had a machine, and didnt have to have my poor arthritic hands punch it all manually.
and equally lo and behold, my local dealer is having a sale on the Babylock Embellisher
http://www.babylock.com/sewing/embellisher/ now this is not an inexpensive piece of equipment here... but at my local dealer you have a one year warrenty, and loads of people who can help out... and its one of the higher rated machines.
i would hate to spend money on a machine and have it only be useful for light work!
so i am considering a kickstarter or indieagogo or similar fundraiser.... with rewards being a range of things from
"your name, or loved one's name, embellished into a project" for under 10 dollar donations...
through "embellished pins for hats, scarves, or gifts" for medium donations...
up through "embellished scarf" and "embellished clutch purse"
so...
short form,
do you or anyone you know have experience with kickstarter or indieagogo?
do you or anyone you know have a machine felter, like the babylock embellisher, you want to give away or sell cheap?
