Sewing Blog, and Lolita dress

SEWING PATTERN misprint and fix:

When i purchased a pattern at Jo Anne Fabrics, it was numbered 0345 Simplicity (i wanted to see if it could be adapted to be an EGL dress)
unfortunately the back of the pattern was mis printed to say it was a skirt, pants, vest, etc .. which it isnt. its a dress.

this pattern is identical to Simplicity pattern 2444 so if anyone was looking for the fix, i have linked to the actual pattern with the correct back for yardage.

now on to the question...
as an adult who likes the "Lolita" Victorian doll look, i can just give up and go steampunk, or i can try to find clothes that have a "loli" feel to them, but dont make me look like i am any thicker in the waist than i already am.
i was looking at this dress (the variation with the bow and the cape collar) as being a good compromise.

any opinions?
