fish, aquariums, that sort of stuff
so anyway..
so with the pneumonia i was told to get into steamy showers, use a humidifier, raise the ambient humidity etc...
well i did do the showers part, but.. my inner crazy said "i have all these old fish tanks..." so i just set up a bunch of fish tanks in the room my bird Blake used to be in. it worked. my nosebleeds stopped and it got easier to breath.. and the pneumonia cleared up
still exhausted though
and of course i figured.. if i am gonna have fish tanks with air bubbling through them and all.. i should OBVIOUSLY have fish, right?
of course...
now i used to breed guppies.. and thats a long saga involving a nasty virus that whipped through but...
i have been chatting about Betta on facebook...
and there is a long side saga involving a friend locally who homeschools and wants fish for her science class (just observing them)
so i ended up talking to my local fish stores and sure enough if i could get them GOOD Betta, in colors and such that they can't get usually.. they will either buy them from me (one store) or trade them for store credit (a different store)
so.. having determined that its *possible* that Betta could be made to at least pay for themselves... i ordered a VERY nice pair from Thailand from a breeder.
so... that sounds harmless enough right?
right?

NEVER LET ME GO TO A CLUB LECTURE
i went to a local fish club lecture. (they were nice folks they liked Bella)
and listened to a lecture on breeding and selling Angelfish
who, it turns out.. need EXACTLY the same conditions as Betta... except they can have power filters in their tank, and they are easier to breed and less trouble.. and more stores have trouble getting fancy ones.
