LGBT action alert
its really a "Human being action alert" but i know that this will get a few more eyeballs.....

this couple cannot legally marry. (yes thats relevant)
they are in danger of losing their apt and their unemployment because one partner took the other partner to the hospital, and stayed, and took them home... and some paperworking idiots decided that since thats a job for a "caregiver" that despite being a FRIEND or DOMESTIC PARTNER that should be a paid job

not in the twenty years they have been together.
so they have thrown them off unemployment.
now, whatever your opinion of marriage, or GLBT or anything.... that even a good friend is being thrown off unemployment because "full or part time caregiver to a disabled person" SHOULD be a paid job?
yea, and gold SHOULD pour out of my faucet too.... (rude word replaced with "faucet")
sure it should be a paid job. but the state isnt offering to pay him, it just wants to throw him off unemployment and out of the house.

and if you can? write a nasty gram to their state reps.
