you know, SEARS used to be really reliable....

Jul 09, 2010 18:45

honestly, my family has dealt with Sears for home repair and plumbing and washers and dryers for EVER....
when Wayne and i finally got a house, we bought our freezers, fridge, washer and dryer from Sears...
they sure are trying to drive us away as customers, though....

bear in mind, i am NOT detailing the time i spent on the phone with idiots repeating the problems over... and over.....and over.. trying to find out whats going on. just let me assure you it did not help my mood.

so, you may remember that i was supposed to have a dryer tech come out and do the maintenance and cleaning and etc on the dryer yesterday (8am-12 window). so wayne had to take the day off to stay home, because i was stranded at my parents until after 12.

at 11 w called Sears and they said "he will be there, and we will have him call you"
at 1pm, an hour after the window,(and no phone call) we called and were told "oh, he cant make it today......you need to reschedule" and after we finished having FITS..... we tried to re schedule and got told "oh, you are rescheduled for tomorrow (today)".

so, wayne has to go into work, and i get to sit in the not air conditioned living room and wait, because i dont want to miss his knock or anything.
so i wait
and i wait

and at 11 i call and they say "we will have him call you you are on his schedule"
at 12 no call and i get told"we will have him call you but you are on his schedule"
and then the btch on the phone tried to "apologize" by setting me up a"free consultation for a home improvement!"
(aka, selling me something.. not an apology in my book)

at 1 i finally get through the phone HELL to a higher level service person, who says the guy will be here at 2:45 and i get offered some small amount of money on a GC.
Grrrrrr

at 3 i call and they say i am still on the list. honest.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

at 4pm.....4PM!!! the guy shows up. he looks worried at my dog and i explain that he doesnt need to deal with my dog, i have unlocked the back alley and the basement doors.. all he has to do is go down the little alley...
"you mean emerald street?"
no, the little alley right there next to my porch.

so i go to the back let him in, and go down the basement. he stares at my washing machine
i explain that someone is coming on the 16th to fix THAT...
"wow, thats a nightmare"
what is?
"that. whats wrong with it?"
i explain its probably a simple replacement of the pump
"oh, thats an ORDER part" so?
"Thats a real nightmare that is...."

well then you better hope they dont send you to fix it, right?
i dont know much about Bosch brands...
well then you probably wont get sent out to fix it
anyway here is the dryer

he asks where the vent goes, i explain and warn him we just had rain and it doesnt drain fast in the side where the vent is. be careful.

i take the dryer load upstairs....
i come back downstairs

i ask if he needs anything..
he says
"i am leaving"
WRR?!
"your basement is full of mosquitos, you need to spray... i wont put up with this."
uh, i dont have mosquitos in the basement, there are plenty in the yard though....
"oh you sit down there and you will see..."
and he walks out.

now.... folks. i live in Philadelphia.
i live near the river
my YARD is full of mosquitoes, my neighborhood is full of mosquitoes
i know , i have a sign that says "4 star dining" written in mosquito that hangs over my head.
my basement has NO mosquitoes
none
not any
because i get bit up in my yard (even when no one else does) but NOT in my basement.
and right after he left i stood down there on hold with Sears for 15 solid minutes and not one mosquito bite.

it does, if i leave the doors open, as i did waiting for him.. have flies, they like the dark cool basement and come in from outside....
so i had put a fan in the basement right at the door after Meetzemonsa and C helped out with the basement.

mosquitoes couldn't fly in past the fan, even if they wanted to some into the basement, which they dont.
flies dont even come in now.

there are no mosquitoes, fleas, or other biting bugs in my basement, there ARE a few cobwebs still, but even most of them are at the far end of the basement the entire length of the house away from the dryer.

and remember, the basement had just been cleaned last week.
seriously cleaned
to the point of BLEACHING THE FLOOR.

so as far as i can tell, the repair guy and the service department blew us off yesterday. (which cost my husband and me a lot of time, and wayne had to take a day off of work.) tried to blow us off again today, probably because its a warranty service so they don't make serious money on it....(making me stay downstairs in the heat so i didnt miss his knock)

and when i called, over, and over, and over, they finally sent some guy out at 4 pm

who didnt like the yard, didnt like the dog, called my washing machine a "nightmare", didnt like the fact that he was being made to show up at my house at all... especially at 4pm,when he probably figured on going home...
and if he got any mosquitoes at all, he got some mosquitoes OUTSIDE where the vent is.. and decided to blow me off.

and i am REALLY pssed off... and sick from heat exhaustion.

Sears has now rescheduled BOTH my washer and Dryer appointments for Tuesday, in the afternoon... so i have to run home from school to be home for when they show up.
if they show up

dryer, angry, heat exhaustion, sears, washer, sick, bad service, home, home repairs
