If at first you dont suceed, fired, fired again
ahem
i am (again) an EX employee of JoMar. i was given my termination paperwork after this evening's shift.
as many of you may remember, i was fired last time for "being unable to perform the duties i was hired for" which means i had an allergic reaction to bugs in the fabric, which kept me out of work for a week while i was on steroids.
i was "un fired" but required to wear gloves while at work (not greatly helpful, but ok) and NO i didnt get my doctors visit covered or my time off covered because i am part time.
time marches on
so after work this evening i was taken aside by L and told "management is relinquishing your position"
"what?"
"they are letting you go"
"uh...... why?"
well all he knew is that it had something to do with my requesting my schedule be changed.
i had indeed asked if i could have off, or swap shifts with someone to have off, for West Windsor Renaissance Fair (May 15, 16), but was perfectly willing to work the two days off i already had scheduled.
apparently even though i had told them when i was hired that i would need some weekends off, this was simply unacceptable.
they COULD have just said "no, you cant have those days off" but they didnt even do that...

and they stuck L with the job... because this was the last day i had scheduled before my two days off THIS week. i guess its sort of the equivalent of firing a guy on friday at end of shift.
so....... y'all want to buy beads, right?
