its awful.. really...... it started yesterday...
i started reading the archive for Something Positive
yea, the entire archive
from 2001 to present
its.. its.... a never ending story line of misery , violence and sarcasm... punctuated by Tom Smith quotes and Phil and Kaja Foglio references....
how the heck am i gonna get any work done when i can only page forward this fast, i am still in 2005!
i met Randy at NonCon at Vassar a few years back. poor baby was sick as a dog, which seems to be a chronic problem.. i think he is allergic to conventions. he drew a ChooChoo Bear ad , for free, for both me and hennadancer who was selling henna art and her husband was making Turkish Coffee.....
the next year he was there he was even sicker and left early.... he's a surprisingly nice guy, and much less sarcastic in person.... but of course illness may have blunted his tongue a bit....
oddly i also met Jeff Jaques of Questionable Content at the same convention.
for a tiny little college convention, its a very cool place to vend... with very cool merchants... and guests.

pity its in winter in Poughkeepsi NY.... but i suppose if it was in the Fall or something we wouldnt have plague and icy parking lots to talk about.......
