babble, babble, knitting, merchanting, etc
in no particular order:
I have one of kyleri 's socks finished and the second one started..... i made her a pair of socks last year? i think it was last year, and she liked them so i waved yarn at her when she came out this way and had her pick.. i am doing toe up this time, and since i had forgotten that she has tiny ankles (compared to mine anyway) i am doing cables which should give a snug fit. i am using Noro Kureyon, which is a heavy worsted/light bulky and it ends up being 40 stitches on size 8 needles to fit me, or her, or most of the people i know. no it isnt a sock yarn, yes noro makes sock yarns.. no this isnt one of them... i add some nylon thread at the toe and heel for wear resistance.
some bills i thought had been paid while i was AT Pennsic........ were not. AAAAAArgh! i spent money on other things based on the idea that those bills were paid.
speaking of Pennsic, finally got to meet fieryredhead who was VERY busy... what with being Queen and all. we have been friends on line for .. uh.... a while.. anyway, i got to meet her in person. yes she looks that good. yes her hair really is that color red, no it wouldnt look good on my coloring.. dmn it.
she managed to squeek out enough time to bring me up some Chili.. on the same evening that my Laurel (Auntie Arwen, of Auntie Arwen Spice Blends ) paid for me to have dinner on her meal plan.... errrrr....
side note: "mild" Texas Chili .. isnt. at least not to this wimp. it was tasty but a trifle hotter than i deal with.
have too many beads, not enough money.. need to trade beads for money.. SALE! see prior post.
trying to get some commissions done. naturally every single other thing that could take up time, brain cells and etc is choosing now to interrupt.
and last but not least?
Otakon is the same dates as Pennsic this year. uh.....this is BAD. i am trying to figure out if i can send whouseknecht to Otakon while i do Pennsic, most of the merchandise needn't overlap.. i dont take corsets to Pennsic, and Jewelry doesnt sell well for me at Pennsic.... hmmmmm
