corsets, renaissance fairs, lolita fashions, and other picture postcards

i just got my re stock of corsets  in from
brute_force .. well from his lovely assistant Elizabeth....so i am now fully re stocked for my usual sizes.  as i tell people at the events i take corsets to, FIT is everything.  If a corset isnt comfortable, it doesnt fit.

i can always order you a different color, once we know your fit, but i cant "guess" at what will fit you.  exactly how LONG should your corset be? i mean we can fool around with how tight to lace it, and go up or down a size in the waist by lacing it, but I cannot change how it fits up and down once its made.
so i make a point of having at least one corset in the majority of sizes in stock.  that way, if you happen to like the color i have. great! buy it!  if not? we can order it, now that i am sure it will fit you.

i am packing up for the Midsummer Renaissance Festival this weekend and next weekend in Lehighton (near Allentown, sort of ) at the Ukrainian Homestead where the SCA has so many events.  I will have corsets (fully stocked) beads, and jewelry.  and after the close of event NEXT Sunday we will be having a memorial for Dan, who was one of the founders of this event.

After seeing all the lovely Lolita Fashions (goth, classic, sweet, etc ) at Anime Boston, i have made two decisions:

1. i have to advertise my beads and my jewelry in that community, because a lot of my stuff is very appropriate.  Also guendalina needs to advertise her jeweled snoods in the community.

2. i love the clothes.
oh i know, i dont usually wear short skirts but i think i could make an exception.. and the EGA style has longer skirts anyway.  and it will give me something to do with that "cute" streak.  its a lot like Victorian, only not nearly as time consuming.
i bet if i threw a crinoline under some of my normal skirts they would work.. i wear VERY full skirts most of the time...hmmmmmm........
