new knitting project

one good thing, while i was at gather this past weekend, one of the people i am always delighted to see showed up with her ~~baby~~!
the cute baby girl who doesnt have anyone in the close family who knits for them... >rubs hands together gleefully<
so... what to knit for the new victim? uh... i mean.. baby!
sweater? would i get it done before they grow out of it?
vest?
socky things?
mittens?
hat?!

apparently the little one looks good in pink, so its an excuse to use up all the leftover pink stash......
