Trek and More Trek

You can never have enough, right? On game night, while Tom's deeply immersed in his World of Warcrap, I mean Warcraft, ;) I'm busy playing with paper dolls in Second Life. That's what it reminds me of anyway, the getting to play with all the clothes and such. :) I have my own room in a group house that I've decorated the way I want, clothes, scooter, and I can even fly. How cool is that? Maybe it appeals to the little girl still in me that loved to play with dolls, I don't know. But I've met a lot of nice people, and the best part is all the neat Trek stuff.

There are quite a few groups with a Trek theme in SL, some better than others. I stay away from those that are hostile towards others, do nothing but complain and fuss, and frown upon one joining mutiple groups. My favorite right now is United Federation Starfleet, they've been really nice and helpful and have also recommended many other groups. As a member of STARFLEET International, my rank there was transferred over once I joined and though I'm not getting special treatment, everyone has been really great. I'm still having to go through the academy. Me, a cadet at my age. :)

Speaking of STARLFEET, there has been a group formed for members of SFI. It doesn't have a location proper to hang out like the bigger groups, it is just something one can belong to, discuss SFI and the like. Just search for STARFLEET International once you're connected.

So while Tom's fighting hoardes, *I* am wearing my cool uniform, flying my own shuttle, riding about in a runabout, taking classes, attending ceremonies, all kinds of cool stuff!

Check it out and get your Trek on!
