Rainfurrest was great. Technically my first furry convention, I was shocked and surprised how many (great) people I knew there. Being a participant in FurLife has certainly expanded my social circle a few planetary diameters!
So, I helped build a fursuit for the convention with my dear friend Ithabise. His old suit was a tattered mess and he wanted a new one, so...after many sleepless nights (5 of them, in fact) we got the suit finished just in time for the fursuit parade at Rainfurrest. Unfortunately we didn't really get to see much of the convention panels and the ones I did get to see seemed to be a little disorganized. The GOH dinner, by the way, was awful. I'm sorry but the food was simply dreadful. For 35 dollars I could have actually eaten pretty darned well. Equally, the ice-cream social was dreadful. Vanilla and/or chocolate icecream with...some generic toppings. But at both events I got to talk with people that I liked and socialize with nice folks, so they weren't totally a waste.
Here's a couple of quick shots of Ithabise in his new suit:
The fursuit games were a lot of fun to watch.
Also, I got an adorable badge made for me by Kasa and commissioned two other badges. I only bought two pieces of art; one of them was Bala's Play Kitty cover, which I bought for Ithabise's Birthday and another small adult piece featuring a lion. I'm really not up to papering the walls in furry art, as much as I love it. I'm definately not going to be hanging furry erotica all over the place. I don't like going to someone's house and seeing penis' all over the walls (and dildos on the coffee table); equally I prefer a little more decorum in my own surroundings. That said, I did pick up some fun furry erotica comics (thanks werepuppy!) and a Renard's Menagerie, a periodical of furry (non-erotic) writting, which is neat!
Over all, Rainfurrest was a lot of fun. Further Confusion is next in January, and provided we haven't killed each other by then, Ithabise and I will probably be going together.
