What's Your Guilty Collecting Obsession?
I have spent an insane amount of money over the years on Swedish Dala Horses. (even before my Hetalia obsession) I have 7 of them in varying sizes and the 2 inch one was in the region of $40 and the 8 inch fucker? You don’t want to know what I paid for that one. There is a reason I only own Seven, cheap they are not. Nor are there very many color varieties. You’re lucky to find ones that are not Red, White or Navy in color. My pink, Sky Blue and Christmas color Horses are really unique. And I tend to buy from Nils Olsson Hemslöjd AB because I love talent in this family owned business and everything they produce is hand crafted/painted. (They do special editions occasionally in unique colors. I love my 8” pink one (That was the one I spent way too much money on, (oh who am I kidding?). I think it was the prettiest I ever bought. I also have pretty much every Jareth (Labyrinth) figurine ever produced and a crap ton of little owl figurines. (I also have Loki/Thor and Ironman/Cap figures that end up in compromising positions daily thanks to my hubby! I’m always amazed at the creative sex going on, on my bookshelf!)
I’m not going into the Manga or anime knickknacks or the few plushies I own, I’m really picky for the most part on little things I buy. But I never met an Owl or Dala Horse I didn’t like!
So what’s your Guilty Collecting Obsession? What is the one thing you have a REALLY HARD TIME saying “No” to? What will make you eat Ramen Noodles for a Year or auction off a Kidney on E-Bay for?
