Warning: homicidal cash registers, vampirism & very short update

Nora spent most of her time with little Teresa. As a first time mother, she was learning that toddlers need a lot of care.

But she knew it was also important to set aside some time for herself.

So when Teresa had her afternoon nap, Nora would take to her easel.

George spent the majority of his time crafting toys at his workstation.

He soon had enough to open a small shop in front of the house.

He was ready to tackle this new challenge.

Unfortunately, his only customers were the absurdly pale garden club matron and a reviewer with questionable fashion sense.

George wasn't one to give up, even though the ancient cash register seemed intent on killing him.

The new business didn't keep him from fulfilling his duties as a father. Teresa, however, was not exactly a fan of bath time.

George and Nora woke up in the middle of the night one night to quite the surprise!

George adored their second daughter as much as the first. He took her to the nursery so Nora could get some much needed rest.

After the baby, hastily named Cora, went down, George explained the new arrival to Teresa, who seemed thrilled to be a big sister!

At the Allard house, Naomi had many duties to fulfill. She worked on refining her logic for her legal career...

Handling all the household chores...

Attending her nightly piano lessons...

And finally, most important of all, sharing her life blood.

One evening after work, Naomi met George and Eli outside and invited them in for a chat and some juice.

However, the time got away from her too quickly, and she waved them out the door just as the sun was setting.

Naomi retired to her room to change for her nightly music lesson. When she returned to the living room, the blonde vampire towered over her. "How dare you!? You ought to know better!"

"That was cutting it too close. If any of them find out about me, they'll surely kill me! Naomi, please, you're all I've got left. Please be more careful, please."

"I'm sorry, Odette. I promise it won't happen again."

Odette peered out the window anxiously as she watched the fading figures disappear down the street.

This was her last chance, and she had to make sure nothing went wrong.

Commentary:

  • Two households, both alike in dignity, in one update! There just wasn't enough happening in either family this round. My apologies!
  • At least now you know a little more about our surprise vampire, Odette Allard. ;)
