This is the part
Where college stops feeling like cool summer camp.
I now have a personal vendetta against the spider or spiders who made their way into my sheets two nights ago, and proceeded to chew up my right leg so that I scratched myself bloody in my sleep. Additionally, most of the bites are centered around my knee, so I have the privilege of looking like I have six kneecaps, none of which can bend without some serious pain, and are a delightful angry red.
On top of that, I woke up with a sore throat on Sunday, and it has now developed into a full-blown summer cold, complete with flaming tonsils, snot galore, and a hacking cough that, on good days, divests my lungs of unreal amounts of goo.
I am currently lying in bed (the BOTTOM bunk, as I have not had the energy to strip the top and rid it of arachnid squatters) propped up by pillows, and my life would really be complete if I could just stay here, but I have class at two, and then choir (HAHA THIS WILL GO WELL) at 4:45. Which I have to walk all the way into town to get to.
Merde.
Anyway, aside from being a whiney whinerface who just wants mommy to make soup and feel her forehead, the past couple of days have been pretty cool. I had my first day of work yesterday, and I auditioned for another play (I didn't get into the first one, but I got called back and was in the running really closely). I'm working in the scene shop, which means I get to use power tools, and hang lights, and work around people who have the same wacky sense of humor as all theater folks, but are vastly less high-strung than actors. It feels like it's going to be a good time.
If I don't die of the plague first.
Printer/scanner business is still iffy, I think I located the information on installing it, but that will require a certain time commitment, and possibly moving the printer, and/or actual thought, which I am not terribly keen on at the moment. I have been drawing a crapton, though, both sketches and finished work, so when the scanner's set up, I'll have lots of stuff to post.
Also, I have blue nails. :D This is a positive development.
