Yes but it's such a good kind of picking on Mal. :D

“Just some old current wine, I guess.” Is this some sort of wine they only have in galaxies far, far away?

Hmm, no, not really. Except for the misspelling of currant. *wince* I first tasted it in Russia, one of my host mothers brewed some in a cupboard.

If you've read Anne of Green Gables, you might remember how Diana overindulged on currant wine instead of raspberry cordial...

I consider red currants a taste of home. We had bushes of them when I was little.

That's what I thought but one can never be sure. :D

Yeah! So happy to see another great chapter from you, I will reread it multiple times and wait patiently for more :)
p.s. I just found out that I can order currant wine online! *fights temptation to order a bottle right now*

Oh, I know, funny all the things you can just click to online. So much retail trouble to get into.

Yay! I'm new - but so glad I found the fic. This was exceptionally well-written and all together a great series. I love the gender inappropriate first names - a very clever idea, really, and certainly amusing.

One thing that really struck me, though, is your portrayal of River. I thought the beginning explanation was just wonderfully done, but then it felt like you made her too grown up. That's just my perception of her, though, and even though I don't see it the same way, I still loved what you did and really wanted to keep reading (and that doesn't always happen).

Great job; oh, and your Jayne is just magnificent. I love the way you write him! Looking very forward to more. :)

Well, with a name like Jayne, there just might be a story to explain it. (I'd hope so)

Hmm, the portrayal of River... Yes. An interesting topic. I see a lot of people portray her as childlike, which I don't really like either. I tend to push towards the 'too grown up' side of her character. Plus, in this it has been years since Miranda. *shrug*

Glad you like my Jayne.

(and if this is the first of my stories you have read, I have more. Lots more.)
