I loved his speech. I listened to it before school this morning. McCain's was good too. HGe may have run a dirty campaign but at least he exited gracefully.

Zeineb, Obama's speech makes me tear up. It is so awesome. I am so overwhelmed by his epic! So!

Also, I am glad that McCain took it well. I think that if I knew McCain personally I'd love him to bits. He's so cuddly. xDDD Um, the only reason I didn't like him was because he was Republican and their policies- *shakes head*

Remember how we went over Kennedy's Inaugural Address for our Grade 9 Speeches Unit? Can't you just see future IB kids studying his acceptance speech 20 years later? =)

He's going to godown in history. I can imagine all the future IAs on Barack Obama right now. And they'll be looking at his two books for primary sources. ^.^

Speaking of IAs, how goes yours?

THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT I WAS GOING TO SAY. THEY ARE SUCH PERFECT SPEECHES AND HE ALLUDES AND OMG. I WANT. The 'Yes We Can' repetition. <33333333333

Those lucky IB kids. =_______= Possibly I will be able to write political essays on Obama...at some point. xDD His election is definitely amazing. Let's hope his term in power is too.

It is going! :DDD I am happy but I also know that sleep will not be an option.

He's such talented public speaker, seriously. I'm jealous of those IB kids but I'm also glad that I get to be here today, watching it happen. Plus you can't get the full impact of how awesome he is just seeing the words on a page (although there's quite a bit). Those future kids aren't going to get to look at the speeches, feeling giddy because the candidate they've been following for months just won the US presidency or get to hear the crowd chanting 'Yes We Can!'

Seriously, I can think of IA topics just for his campaign. He's the first in like a century to turn down public funding (and raised a record amount of funds!), the election had the highest voter turnout in HISTORY, he had one of the most brilliantly oragnized and well-conducted campaigns in history. I'm betting anything kids will be initially interested because of the race factor and then end up writing their IA on some other aspect of his campaign entirely. xD

Also, I hope by 'no sleep' you are practicing IB style hyperbole. You need your sleep. >(
