A few folks have inquired about the pony place I go volunteer at on Saturdays. It's a tiny place on West 48th, between 11th & 12th (Joe DiMaggio Highway). Seriously, it's about 2 stories high and pretty small... We can barely get 3 carriage horses to walk around in a circle. Anyway, I go Saturdays, usually for every lesson they need me in. I get there at 10:45 [they want us there 15 minutes early] and leave usually around 2, sometimes 2:30 or 3, depending on whether or not they put me in with the last class.
ANYWAY, if you're interested in volunteering, call (212)535-3917. Ask about the therapeutic riding classes and how you can help. They will be able to help you from there. :-)
ETA: They're looking for people for any hour they can help... The first lesson starts at 11, but really, any hour you can help is greatly appreciated. ♥ :o)
