One of the things I've always thought is a travesty about the concept of marriage is the fact that you don't technically get any credit for your pre-marriage years of dating/shacking up etc. Once you tie the knot, you're suppposed to be starry-eyed newlyweds at square one. Never mind that you dated for five years, were engaged for two and already own a house.
I'm going to make a weird transition and compare that to the world of journal updating. Say you comment 20 times a day (which I don't...not usually, anyway), and at least 10 of those comments are at least two hefty paragraphs. That's quite a bit of writing. But if you don't update your journal, you're considered to be "inactive." Unfair, I say!
Not in MBP terms, of course. I mean, you need that kind of quantitative information for community purposes. I'm just saying in terms of general perception. Stephen's all "yay, Rufus is updating" and I'm like, "I comment profusely to you EVERY DAY!"
Maybe I should comment less and throw all my random comment shit in into my journal and then I'll be considered wordy again.
Haha, I'm so ornery lately. I think I need coffee.
