You know, there's no moratorium on stupidity. Plenty of self-despite among Wiccans - in fact perhaps even more than in general, at least from the ones I have seen (admittedly I'm not the world's most unbiased observer here since I think a lot of Wiccans get into it because they feel their "own" religion is somehow polluted and the best thing they can do is try to find some sort of mythical, exterior and exotic religion which is "pure" and "nice". I know not everyone is like that, but there sure are a lot of the other kind around.
Frantz Fanon wrapped around a brick does wonders so I'm told.
One of the best articulations of the contours of this kind of "colonized mind" mentality was in the movie "A Soldier's Story" (NOT to be confused with "A Soldier's Tale") starring the great Harold Rollins Jr. It was about a Black army lawyer who is investigating the murder of a Black sergeant on a segregated army base in the 1940s. I think it may even have been Denzel Washington's first feature film (he plays one of the key supporting roles).

Hmm. Seems this person didn't know as much as they thought they did.
