Waistcoat!
We interrupt your hardcore SWOTVAC procrastination with the following joy:
*squeals* I gots a H1 for my summer semester subject. Yay!
And also an uber high mark for my Minerals and Magmas prac test *bouncebouncebounce* Thank gods, as I spent two weeks in the lab to get that mark.
I'm so glad I changed courses. Also the fact that I like studying for this subject helps quite a bit. There's a party in my microscope, and you're all invited. Bad puns for all!
Although I'm still a little worried about the money needed to go away on excusion to Buchan Caves at the end of exams. I've had to borrow from mum to pay for it, which is less than ideal. This may disrupt my plans to go to Intercollege War in a month.
Although I have been studying, I've taken a couple of detours into Tudor Europe in the past few days, by both researching a little (ok, alot) more into Teh Dress Of Awesome and watching the start of
The Tudors. With the former, still not sure of the exact design of the gown as yet, but I have some ideas and will start with the undergarments (a linen chemise which is nearly done, corset, farthingale) which will buy me some time to decide. I'll also have to measure up the fabric I have and see if it's appropriate yardage. Some dying will need to be done as the majority of the brocade I've found is in off-white, and quite frankly I don't want it to look like a bridal gown. I have some left over blue and red brocade as well which should come in handy.
Anywho, back to the grindstone. Laters!
