Post-21st Wrap

You know it's the exam period when you're in the 24h computer labs at 11am, and there's somebody next to you, crumpled over a pile of heavily highlighted readers and fast asleep. Bawls Mints for the win!* However, I've discovered that they may make one's tongue go a tad blue. Hee!

Anywho, I've had a fantastic couple of days. Biochem is over (HUZZUH!). Friday was fantastic. While it was more a case of quality over quantity due to study waylaying guests, a few people came around for drinkies, excellent conversation and Munchkin. Afterwards there was a movement to Psychosis which was just plain fun. Alcoholic Masquerading, booty shaking goodness!
Saturday was a pancake breakfast followed by catching up with school friends down on the Peninsula. I'd forgotten how much fun driving is! I want a car :(
Sunday was work, and family dinner. I'll post up picks of the birthday loot when I get home at some point tonight. Did I mention shiny?
Thankyou so much to those that were a part of the 21st weekend experience. You were all awesome :D

Oh, you know you're in the SCA when you automatically respond with "Huzzuh!" when you hear "Hip hip..." being called out. It may have been a tad awkward *shifty eyes*
On that note, I'm very excited about the garb theme for the upcoming William Marshall event being Angevin, as it seems to cover my persona's time and place (12-13c France). I forsee the 22nd-29th November, being after exams, being nothing but garbing and work. Wheee!
Aénor's site is made of win for 12c clothing.
This excerpt from the SCA wiki site Cunnan, on the topic on the Angevin Plantagenets, amuses me greatly. Silly superstitious medieval folk!
"The line was supposedly descended from a count of Anjou, who met and married a beautiful woman called Melusine. She gave him children, and appeared faithful, but it was noticed that she did not attend Church regularly, and when she did, she avoided the Mass. On a day, several of the count's liegemen surrounded her and forced her to remain, whereupopn, with an ungodly scream, she tore herself away, transformed into a serpentine half-draconine creature, with wings, and flew away. She had been (either) a water-fay or a female-devil, and accordingly inacapable of remaining where the Host was. She was never seen again, but thereafter it was said that there was a devil's blood in the Anjou line, which explained why Henry II and his sons were so belligenerant towards each other, and why they intermittently broke into uncontrollable rages when their will was thwarted." wtf!lol

That be all. More neuroscience study to be done for Wednesday, my next exam, which is at a refreshing time of 2pm. Win!

* I swear I'll kick this caffeine addiction eventually...after exams. That actually may explain why I haven't been able to sleep lately though. Eep.
