faux gras terrine & duck rillettes dreams
For those of you who have a taste for the finer things in life you should go to Central. Central is a food experience located a block away from the Post Office Pavilion in DC. I don't think I would be going back to there any time soon (because its darn expensive), but if you have money to burn you should. Their best dish is actually under the Charcuterie section of the menu, and its called Duck rillettes and Faux Gras Terrine. Yes, delicious force fattened foul...say that 3 time fast! It is like eating smooth meaty butter, and on their bread it's a pretty surreal moment. Of course its too rich to eat by yourself. That's what friends are for...three to be exact can polish off one of these orders. With a fresh cup of their 3 buck coffee (its really really good coffee with real cream) your well on your way to flavor county.
Currently, dreaming about going back there and just going to eat the dish again. I am being useful and translating a Fish cake dish that has melted cheese in the middle.
