Alfred heard the faint strains of music, the thump of the baseline, before he even opened the door. Vaguely curious, he turned the key in the lock, instinctively nudging Fat Al away with his foot before he could bolt out the door. Inside, the music washed over him, so pervasive that it was initially hard to tell where it was even coming from. (

Nope, definitely not noticing. She had dancing to do, and some awkward humming along, but then again, she was just generally awkward at this sort of thing.

Kina, from her spot on the couch, watching her owner be a sillypants, had to be the one to notice Alfred first. Sitting up after a while, she let out a loud bark, which made Maggie look at her, then sort of twirl in the direction the Newfoundland was looking.

Oh. And then she was stopping, turning bright red as she did.

"... 'Sup, Al?"

Alfred raised an eyebrow, tipping his glasses at her with a teasing smirk. "Don't let me interrupt or nothin'."

"You stop smirking or else."

She shifted her weight from one foot to the other a few times, then went over to turn down her music. Not off, just down, in case he disappeared soon so she could get back to enjoying herself.

"Or else what? You'll wiggle your butt at me?"

"I'll... Umm. I'll pout at you?"

"I feel very threatened right now."

She flailed her hands a little bit in his direction, that pout definitely starting to show up.

"Meanie. Go away."

Alfred hopped over the couch and plopped himself down next to Kina, propping his arms up behind his head. "I live here. I think I'll stay."

The dog gave him a disapproving look (good girl!) but didn't stop Alfred from sitting, leaving Maggie pouting at him. And then informing him that he was a loser, except in pouty, but eloquent, French, so the chances of him getting that were slim.

"Same to you," Alfred retorted (the epitome of maturity).

"Je ne suis pas." Still pouting, she crossed her arms in front of her, effectively making her chest look even perkier than the white patterned bra she had on was already doing.

"2A tray sexy," Alfred grinned, pushing his glasses back up on his nose and making a show of licking his lips. "I told you not to let me interrupt. Just pretend like I'm not here."

Maggie rolled her eyes, smirking in spite of herself. "Come ons work so much better when you don't have to adjust your glass in the middle, you know. Besides, I'm done."

"Shut up, four-eyes. You're just saying that so I'll go away."

"I'm not dumb enough to think I have any hope of getting rid of you now. Sorry."
