Seungri had always been quite the loudmouth, after all.
Seunghyun smirked slightly and looked at Jiyong. "Oh, really? Why couldn't you just tell me that you had a crush on me?"
Wrapping his arm around the other boy's thin waist, Jiyong was almost losing it.
"T-T-T-That isn't it! I was just talking about how I wanted to work with you..a-and stuff like that!"
Seunghyun simply laughed and removed his arm from around Jiyong's waist. Jiyong let out a quiet sigh of relief.
But Seungri was wise beyond his years, and could tell that his hyung wanted more than to just work with Seunghyun. Placing his hand on Jiyong's shoulder, he shot him an all-knowing smile. "Calm down, hyung." And just like that, he exited the studio.
"What is he up to..." Jiyong thought to himself, wondering what that smile had meant. Teddy cleared his throat, and Jiyong turned around. "So...are we gonna start working on these songs or what?" "Oh...y-yeah! Sorry, I was spacing out for a second there." Seunghyun smiled softly and took a seat, and Jiyong did the same.
"So, Seunghyun...What are you looking to do? Singing, rapping...a bit of both?" Teddy asked, tapping his pen against the table. Seunghyun thought to himself for a few seconds. "Well, I'm more confident in my rapping...so I think I-" "But hyung, you're really goo- I mean, I bet you're a really great singer!" Jiyong interrupted, nearly spilling his embarassing secret.
Seunghyun raised an eyebrow. "Oh...? And what are you basing that assumption off of?" Jiyong froze. "U-uh...Well, you have such a cool speaking voice. So, you probably have an amazing singing voice too!" Jiyong internally facepalmed. What the hell was wrong with him? "I...don't think that that's how it works, Jiyong ah." Teddy replied with a laugh. "But I've gotta go meet up with a fellow producer. I'll catch you two later, alright?" Teddy shot Jiyong a wink, laughing, while Seunghyun's attention was elsewhere for a few seconds. "Bye!"
Just like that, Jiyong and Seunghyun were left alone in the studio together. Jiyong gulped. "So...shall we get started?" Seunghyun asked. The other man nodded and handed Seunghyun his lyric notebook. "I'm going to get the instrumental playing...I want you to sing the lines when I tell you." "You're gonna make me sing...?" Jiyong sighed, his eyes pleading. "Please, Seunghyun. This will work. Just sing for me." Seunghyun took a deep breath and nodded.
After walking through the tune of the song, Jiyong began to play the instrumental he had made. He counted down with his fingers, and once he had hit "1", Seunghyun began to sing. His voice was even better than it had been when Jiyong had listened to it all those nights. Deep and smooth, it echoed through the studio, back into Jiyong's ears. He tapped his foot in beat with the song, nearly getting lost.
Once the song was finished, he felt himself return to the real world.
"Seunghyun....that was awesome!" He smiled softly, getting truly excited. Would his songs finally get finished? Seunghyun smiled, shaking his head. "Nah...but..tell me. Where'd you inspiration for these lyrics? They're really something else!" "O-oh...those? They aren't a big deal. I wrote them within the last few days...just based them off of some personal experiences..." Seunghyun nodded, impressed. "Wow...But answer me this question...Why is it that you write your lyrics and compose your own songs...but you don't sing them yourself?"
Jiyong sighed. "I can't sing at all...my voice is horrible." "Yah...I bet that isn't true. Sing." Jiyong's eyes widened. "What? No!" "Hey, you made me sing. It's your time, pretty boy." "But Seunghyun...I can't si-" Seunghyun placed his hand in Jiyong's. "Just do it." Jiyong sighed, giving in. He wheeled himself over to the computer and began the instrumental again, counting down for himself.
And when he started singing, what Seunghyun heard wasn't a bad singer, but rather a perfectionist who was far too hard on himself. Seunghyun soon joined in the song, glancing at the lyric notebook. Their voices actually sounded good together, to Jiyong's surprise. Their song echoed through the studio until it eventually died down, and Jiyong sighed. "There, are you happy?" Seunghyun smiled and placed his hand on the other man's shoulder. "Yes, actually. You're great!" Jiyong blushed, looking at Seunghyun's dimples and he suddenly felt woozy. What was wrong with him?
"W-We should begin recording now, hyung." Seunghyun pouted in response. "Do we have to? I'm hungry!" "Yah...We can go out to eat after you're done recording. Now get in the booth!" Seunghyun grumbled and obeyed. Picking up the lyric notebook, he made his way inside, sitting on the stool. "...You're really going to make me sing again...?" "Yes, Seunghyun hyung! Your voice is amazing!" Seunghyun smirked and adjusted the microphone.
Outside of the studio, Seungri was leaning against the translucent door, smiling. "Jiyong hyung...you really are obvious."
