Jiyong was in shock, panicking at the situation.
Without knowing what else to do, he ran quickly to a large potted
plant in the corner of the room, and hid behind it.
Seunghyun, as Jiyong finally remembered his name to be, stood, confused.
He raised one eyebrow slowly and stared at the peculiar young man.
"I can obviously still see you, you know-...What the fuck? Are you crying?"
Jiyong wiped his eyes vigourously.
"No..." he mumbled, walking back to his apartment door.
He fumbled through his pocket in search of keys and ended up dropping them.
Before Jiyong could even react, Seunghyun picked the keys from the floor and stuck the house key in the lock.
"There you go, princess." Seunghyun uttered, scoffing.
Jiyong's face turned bright red.
"What the hell do you think you're doing? Unlocking my door...You fuckin' weirdo."
Seunghyun scoffed again, trying not to laugh.
"I'm not the pretty boy with the headband. And I don't throw tantrums over wine, or cry in hallways either."
Jiyong curled his hands into fists.
"Fuck you!"
And with that, he slammed the door in the other man's face, pushing his back against it with a sigh.
Why was his face so red?
Oh yeah, this guy was the one who's singing he'd become obsessed with.
The voice who had lulled him to sleep all these nights.
Seconds later, Jiyong heard a knock and shot up, looking through the peephole.
Seunghyun was smirking slightly, Jiyong's keys in hand.
"You left your keys in the lock, dumbass."
Jiyong's face turned even more red, and he opened the door just so his hand would fit through, and snatched the keys back.
Slamming the door again, he locked it securely.
"Hey...I know you were upset and all about the wine...but is it really worth crying over?" Seunghyun asked quietly from the other side of the door.
"Shut up...you don't know anything about how stressful life can be...working in a fancy restaurant, earning lots of money, flirting with women all day..."
There was a slight silence before Seunghyun answered.
"You don't know anything about my life either, and that statement just proved it. Goodnight."
Jiyong heard Seunghyun's door shut, and he sighed softly.
What had just happened?
Feeling a tear run down his cheek, Jiyong made his way to the bathroom and perched himself on the counter, waiting.
No shower nor singing occurred that night.

"So what do you think, hyung?"
Today, Jiyong was spending some time with Seungri, one of the younger artists in the company.
Everyone knew that he was quite fond of Jiyong, and looked for his advice.
He was currently in the process of recording his album, and wanted feedback from his beloved hyung.
Jiyong's eyes grew wide.
"It's....great! Did you really write these lyrics all by yourself, Ri?"
If there was one thing at all Jiyong was confident about, it was his lyric-writing.
"Yeah! I wouldn't be able to do it without your support though!"
Seungri gave the other man a tight hug, overly excited.
"Wow, you're actually being modest for once?" Jiyong said, chuckling.
They continued to talk about Seungri's upcoming album, until a change of subject came up.
"Enough about me...how are you doing?"
Seungri asked, a hand on Jiyong's knee.
"Whoa, am I in an alternate universe today or what? Did you seriously just say that?"
Seungri smacked Jiyong's shoulder with a smirk. "I'm serious! you don't look good."
Jiyong sighed.
"Is it really that obvious? Aish...everyone keeps asking.."
So, just like that, Jiyong told Seungri his troubles; his perfectionism, the month extension, the occurrence at the restaurant the night before; the brief conversation with Seunghyun afterwards...but he'd never tell him about the singing in the shower.
"Hyung...I think you should apologize to that guy...Do you really want that tension between you and your neighbour on top of everything else stressing you out?"
It was times like this that Jiyong was thankful Seungri was so mature for his age.
"Plus, he's a fellow Seunghyun, so I like him by default."
Or maybe not.
But Jiyong did agree with what he had said.
They would have to put their differences behind them.
"Especially if I ever want him to sing for me..." Jiyong thought to himself.
------------------------------------
Jiyong found himself in front of room #234 that night, biting his nails.
He knocked gently, and heard footsteps.
"...What do you want, pretty boy?"
Jiyong's face turned red once again.
"My name is Jiyong! Kwon Jiyong! Now...open the door. I don't like talking through it."
Seunghyun hesitated for a second, but opened the door anyway.
His hair wasn't slicked back, and was instead hidden by a knitted hat.
Rather than a fancy uniform, the man was in large hoodie and rather loud, colourful pants.
Jiyong's eyes widened momentarily, noticing how different he looked compared to last night.
Regardless, he continued with what he had come here for.
He bowed forward, 90 degrees.
"I'm sorry for my behaviour."
Seunghyun couldn't see Jiyong's face, and that was probably for the best.
Even though Jiyong knew this was for the best, he couldn't help but feel pathetic, and was gritting his teeth.
"Apology accepted."
Jiyong shot back up to his full height.
"...What?"
Seunghyun leaned against the doorframe.
"I forgive you. I was thinking...maybe we aren't so different....Just...never step foot in my workplace again, alright?"
Jiyong had to stop himself from getting angry and yelling at Seunghyun for that last comment.
"Really? No hard feelings?"
Seunghyun shook his head.
"We'll have to learn to get along. It's much better than fighting, after all."
The two men stood in silence for a few seconds.
"...And I'm sorry too, I guess."
Another few seconds of silence passed by before Seunghyun spoke up once more.
"Well, goodnight...neighbour."
