Seunghyun sat on the plush sofa, tapping his feet on the hardwood floor and taking sips of red wine from the glass in his hand. He had found himself drinking more and more each day...it had pretty much become a routine for him to sit down with a bottle of wine like this every night. He looked out at the Seoul skyline from the large window beside him, trying to count the stars that were visible before giving up.

I can't sleep, I call your name

Seunghyun sighed. Maybe Jiyong was gazing at the sky at that same moment, thinking about him. Seunghyun scoffed. "Of course not. He's strong, he's probably moved on by now..." he whispered to himself as he set the now empty wine glass on the coffee table. A little over a year ago, he had recieved an urgent phonecall from his mother. She was crying. Saying his father had just died in the hospital from a heart attack. "Your sister and I need you, Seunghyun. Please..." he remembered her whimpering. Seunghyun didn't want to hear anymore, couldn't bear to. His father was gone. He felt empty. With that, Seunghyun began packing. Everything he needed and could fit into his suitcase. Jiyong just sat in bed, asking him questions nervously, not knowing or understanding the situation. He headed to the station hours later, needing to catch the earliest bus to Seoul. Jiyong followed not far behind, still looking hurt and confused. And when the bus pulled into the station, all he could leave Jiyong with was a simple "goodbye" and a soft kiss. He wouldn't dare to take one look back as he boarded the bus, too afraid of what he'd see.

We missed each other, and it makes me worry

Once Seunghyun arrived, he realized how much his mother and sister needed him, he became the man of the house. He had difficulties with it at first, especially since he was suffering from this just as much as the rest of his family. But day by day, he found himself bearing and accepting the death of his father, making everything much easier. Regardless, it never became easier to contact Jiyong. Everytime he tried, he stopped suddenly, unable to call, to text, to email. What the hell would he say? "Hey Jiyong. I can never come back because my family needs me more than you do. Bye." Of course not! It made the situation even worse just thinking about it. So instead, Seunghyun spent every night drinking away his sorrows. And just like every other night, Seunghyun began to think, to daydream.

Feel like I'm gonna dream every time

He missed the feeling of Jiyong's plump lips against his, drawing him in. He missed the feeling of Jiyong's small but strong arms around him, clutching onto him for dear life. He missed making love to Jiyong...the way the younger man cried out his name when he hit just the right spot...the way he rested against his chest when they fell asleep afterwards. He missed the words. From the "Do you love me?"'s to the "Hold me, hyung"'s to the "Its your turn to pay"'s. Most of all, Seunghyun missed the feeling. Knowing Jiyong was his and vice versa. The feeling he got from seeing the younger man's angelic smile, the feeling he got just being by Jiyong's side. The feeling only love can give you. Seunghyun sighed, listening to the sounds of the city through the open window. How could he have just left Jiyong like that? Seunghyun realized it was an urgent matter, but, why couldn't he bring himself to tell Jiyong what happened?

Just to know the game it's all the same

Just then, Seunghyun heard soft footsteps coming down the hallway, and the sound brought him back to reality. "Umma...what are you doing awake..?" he asked quietly when his mother's small form became visible. She sat beside him on the sofa. "I was about to ask you the same thing..." she replied, a tinge of sadness in her voice. "I'm always up this late." Seunghyun whispered, staring aimlessly in the distance. Then his mother said the words he'd never expect to hear. "You miss Jiyong, don't you...?" Seunghyun's eyes widened, his eyes now on her. His mother never approved of his relationship with Jiyong, why would she care now? They sat like that in silence for what seemed like hours. Suddenly, he felt his mother placing something in his hand. A ticket. "Go. I'll be fine.." she said quietly, kissing her son on the cheek. Seunghyun pulled his mother into an embrace, smiling. "Call me if you need to talk, umma. You know I'll always be there for you..." And with that, Seunghyun packed his bag and set off to the station. He ran as fast as his feet would take him. As he boarded, he looked back, unlike last departure, and said a silent goodbye to the city. Seunghyun's mind was racing on the bus ride back home. Had Jiyong gotten over him? Moved on? Found someone new? His heart ached at the thought of the younger man with someone else. Before he knew it, the bus was screeching to a sudden stop at his destination, splashing a blonde young man standing on the sidewalk. As the young man looked up and muttered something to himself, Seunghyun couldn't believe his eyes. It was Jiyong. Had he known? Or was he just there by chance? And....when did he dye his hair blonde? Just as Seunghyun was asking himself those questions, everyone was getting up and filing out of the cramped bus, getting their luggage, and heading home. Seunghyun scrambled out, grabbing his suitcase with a shaky hand. He spun around. Where had Jiyong gone? He was here just a minute ago. Then he spotted him, standing at the edge of the station, head back, eyes closed. He had to go see him. Every step in Jiyong's direction caused Seunghyun to feel more anxious. Finally close to the younger man, Seunghyun placed a hand on Jiyong's shoulder, taking a deep breath. "Ji. I'm home." he said, his voice a bit shaky. No answer. Had Jiyong really forgotten him? Was he waiting for someone else?

If you're listening, answer me

All his doubt faded away when Jiyong spun around, eyes wide. Seunghyun pulled the younger man into his arms, feeling the warmness of Jiyong's tears against his shirt. He didn't need to ask; Seunghyun knew they were tears of happiness. He kissed Jiyong softly, and was overcome with emotion. How long he had waited for this. After returning home, explaining himself to Jiyong, and eventually making love for the first time in what seemed like centuries, they caught their breaths, Jiyong resting on Seunghyun's chest. "...I love you, Hyunnie..." Jiyong drawled slowly, planting a lazy kiss to his collarbone. Seunghyun smiled down at Jiyong, moving the sweaty strands of hair from the younger man's eyes. "I love you too, Yongie." They both would finally end their sleepless nights apart, now in eachothers arms.

Love can be forever
