Hey Fellas
I'm pretty bored, but I'm also pretty content. All my classes are going alright, I enjoy sociology, we recently read a study about becoming a "marihuana" user that I found rather interesting. I find I'm listening to drastically different music than I was at St. Thomas. Usually when walking to classes, it's either Radiohead or The Dismemberment Plan or Modest Mouse, however when I was at UST it was most likely Franz Ferdinand or Gang of Four. I understand that everyone gets sick of certain music, so this shouldn't be all that significant, but it just seems significant to me for some reason. I just microwaved some Pop-Tarts for breakfast and they most definitely look a lot less appetizing than before they were microwaved, though they are warmer. I really should have eaten them cold.
Yesterday, I was thinking about how my brother practices his cello a lot and is pretty good at it, and I was thinking about how in ten years, he'll likely incorporate music into his career in some way, like as a performer or something. Then I got a text message and the ringtone made me think, what if he ends up being the guy that creates ringtones, and it would be really weird to have a phone with ringtones that my brother had written, because that'd be really weird to think that he actually would think that some of those stupid shitty ones would be good. But I guess I overthought that situation.
I don't know if any of you saw the Colbert Report last night, but when he was talking about "The Splendiferous Zeppelin Escapades of Filliam H. Muffman" or when he did the 80's music video I could not stop laughing, that show is consistently the highlight of late night TV.
