I feel swamped. Originally I was supposed to drive to Pennsylvania alone tomorrow to help out my brother, but he cancelled THANK GOD. Tomorrow I gotta mail an application, call Demetri Martin's tour manager/sister, copy and hang flyers in College Park, and god knows what else. I am listing all this to help me remember because I will definitely forget by tomorrow.
I volunteered to be part of Demetri's "street team" in DC - that is, hang up flyers, send online invites, etc. In return, I can get free swag and an all-access pass to Thursday's show. Unfortunately, DJs dad's birthday is that night and I'm supposed to be going to a different comedy show in Baltimore (blech). Regardless of what I end up doing, I still hope/plan to help promote Demetri's show around my former campus.
Then on Wednesday I wanted to go Halloween shopping (for fun, and for my attempts to put together a Motel Hell costume), but instead I have to go scout for parking around the DC Greyhound station so I know where to park come next Monday. If there's no parking, I'm fucked. Anyone wanna come pick me and Jesse up at 2am next Monday in DC? Didn't think so.
So then Thursday is one comedy show or another. Or maybe neither. Who knows! On Friday, I'm having a Friday the 13th movie marathon at Rick's - only we'll be watching the Evil Dead films. Me and Jesse, psychos that we are, plan to wear plaid shirts and bake Raimi-themed cookies in honor of our beloved filmmaker. Losers, indeed. Rick may never speak with us again.
Since I'll be on the eastern shore, perhaps I will visit my father on Saturday. And Sunday? NOTHING! Yet.
Then Monday is NEW YORK CITY and a certain fake right-wing pundit *squeal* I realized today that Amy Sedaris' new hospitality book comes out that very day - how fucking awesome would that be if she were on the show again?? I know she'll also be in NYC that day. But apparently she has a book-signing in B&N at 7pm...when Report is filmed. So, FUCK. Watch her be on the next day, that is just my luck.
Aaaaaand on Tuesday I'll be seeing The Fountain, and Darren Aronofsky himself is giving a Q&A session afterwards. So that should be neat.
So that's my week. Busy busy busy! Oh, and in case anyone cares, the vet gave me some anti-inflammatory pills for Cody, which seem to be helping. He's walking and running on his right hindleg again. I gave Hunter a few, as well, and he also seems better. They're both running, playing, and eating like normal. In the immortal words of Willy Wonka...I hope it lasts.
