So, you know how I was all excited about that job interview last Wednesday? Turns out it wasn't last Wednesday. I go in, tell them who I am and what I'm doing there, and it turns out I'm there on the wrong day. Woo! Go me, way to make a good first impression. So this morning was the real interview. I was pretty nervous, and I think more so because it was downtown and while downtown Denver is clean, and not the biggest city in the country, it is still a decent sized city and somewhat intimidating for little ol' me. I interviewed with a panel of three women, and one of the first things I did was make a joke about how I came in on the wrong day, and Shana, the lady who called me, laughed each time I said something about it. They laughed several times at what I said, so I think that was good. A sense of humor is always a plus in an interview, right? So the only question I faltered a little was the question about this being a part-time job and me really wanting something full-time... I wouldn't just quit in May, no way. I would keep it for the experience and I do need to pay my bills... so hopefully that won't sway them too much, because I would LOVE to work in a courthouse/courtroom right alongside a judge/magistrate. I felt pretty good about it as I was leaving, because I do think it went well, but of course now I am nervous and have to wait until Friday, maybe Monday, until I hear something back. I took a typing test and averaged at 72 net words per minute, and I think that'll look pretty decent. Lucky for me, I did that EXACT typing test when I was filling out the application... hehe, so I sort of had an advantage. Wish me luck all, this would be a great opportunity for me!

I also have another interview lined up this coming Monday. I made sure to get a name and clarified the date and time. ;-) It's with a company called AP Financial; a company I can find nothing about. It's for a management trainee position, so if anything, the interview will provide me with more information into the company and what exactly I'd be doing as a "management trainee." If I do end up doing the major in business thing, this could be a really great place to start. Plus this company would offer health insurance as a benefit, which is a major perk because I really don't want to have to pay for insurance individually. So wish me luck with that one, as well.

I am still very anxious about graduation and having a graduation party. My high school graduation was such a huge let-down. I had more fun at my brother's high school graduation than my own, so this "college" graduation, I am going ALL OUT. I want lots of people, family during the day mixing in with friends at night as well as a big sign on my front lawn saying "Congratulations, Graduate!" so EVERYBODY knows, as well as lots of food. I plan on calling as many people as I have numbers for, plus a few girls from Victoria's Secret (Southglenn Victoria's Secret, that is. Southwest girls are... icy).

And let's see... ah yes! The Saturn Ion Quad Coupe has really caught my eye; it's neck and neck with the Mazda 3. It's a nice looking car, and thus far, it is the most affordable. It's nice and sporty-lookin'... so it's yet another test drive. God I hope I can get a real job soon, so I can get a new car sooner rather than later.

That's the latest; I'm bored and anxious and nervous about getting a real job as well as a little scared to get out into the "real world" armed with... not very much. Oh well... bring it!
