so once upon a time, i was at my good friend
sean's house, and he works in stone sometimes, and he has a little shop in his basement. he everso graciously let me use his tools and carve up one of his rocks even. i made this little guy!
i sort of like him. then, around yesterday, i found myself at another very good friend's house. let's call him pete, because that's his name. he has a wonderful garden/pond/yard situation, see?
i love photographing there because pete's built such good lines and composition into everything already i don't even have to do any work. anyway, i took a bunch of pictures of this guy in that garden and now that is where he lives. i couldn't have hoped for a better home-for-him. bigger pictures (plus at least one more of pete's yard) at my
flickr,
more pictures after the
hee! lil guy all hidin
you may be asking, what's the deal with this fuzzy profile? well, i wanted a profile, and i was using a really old fujifilm finepix (this shoot filled its 16 mb memory card) which doesn't have manual focus and sometimes the autofocus is WRONG and there's nothing you can do about it because it wasn't even that good of a camera when i got it, but it came with a photo printer. so that's the deal, here's another bad fuzzy profile.
if you want, you can think about it as a picture of lamps
oh no glub glub (posing inanimate humanoids presents comedic temptation which i may have resisted were i a stronger man.)
