The Weekend
It's been a pretty sweet weekend. =) Didn't start off so hot, with an ugly loss to Princeton in hockey. Man, they died for about 9 minutes in the second period and then just never recovered. Went to the Troy Pub after the game with Jonny and Alissa, and had some fun there. Got back to the apartment and did some much-needed cleaning & relaxing.
Saturday morning went to brunch at Vanilla Bean- very good, a bit pricey, but eh. =) Was very very full. Did laundry, took a short nap, and cleaned a little more after brunch. Went to dinner at the Pine with Sarah before the hockey game. Fun times. Had a glass of white zinfandel. Good stuff. Wouldn't have been a problem if I hadn't had a Smirnoff Ice about 15 minutes before Sarah came over to go to the Pine. ::shakes head:: Didn't bother me until sometime during the game. And even then wasn't too bad. Anyway. Went to the game, met Lauren there and proceeded to watch an interesting hockey game. Very long and excruciating at points, exciting at other points. It was the last home game of the season, Senior Appreciation Night. Played Yale. Shouldn't have been too hard. We won...with 15.1 seconds left in OT. =) Kevin Croxton scored his 100th collegiate point on that one. Yes, I did a lot of cheering/screaming then. 0=) I was excited. It was my last hockey game at the Field House. Felt kind of weird. When the seniors did their victory lap I was like, gotta love the class of '05...and then I thought, holy crap, I'm part of that class!! =O Wow...so weird. But it was a good game, very good in the end. We were so hyped up after the game. Sarah and I went back to my apartment, and Age and Jocey were there. We all decided we needed to do something, so we invited a bunch of people over to play Moods. Oh dear, that was hysterical!! We ended up adding two and a half sheets of quotes to the wall in our apartment. It was waaay more hysterical than it was supposed to be. I was laughing so hard and so much that my ribs hurt afterwards. People left around 1:30 in the morning, and Age, Jocey, and I hung out for a lil before going to bed. Went to bed at 3AM...wow so late.
Woke up in time for church this morning, got a whopping 3 and a half hours of sleep. Dragged myself to church, and was very glad I did. Pastor Stan delivered a very good message today. Came back to the apartment after service and took a 3 hour nap. =O Didn't mean to nap that long, but I just could not get up after an hour, or two hours, for that matter. So I finally woke up a lil before 1 in the afternoon, giving me just enough time to wake up, make lunch and eat, and get changed for volleyball game at 2. Got to the game and played...it was interesting, to say the least. We won...I played pretty horribly. Eh, whatever. It's D-league IM volleyball. I ran into Jeff by accident on one play and got smacked in the head by his shoulder. Yeah, he's a whole lot taller than me. I'm just thankful neither of us got hurt. Well, we're 3-0 now. I don't know why I'm not so excited about that. Oh well. Now in the Union procrastinating. Our internet was freaking out when I got back from volleyball, so I came over here to get some stuff done. But now I'm not motivated to do any of it. It's not like I have a lot of work, either. We'll see how long I stay here and how much I get done tonight.
