Thoughts
I just struggled with the new Verizon DSL modem for 2 hours...and it won. =/ I had to re-install the old one just so the desktop can get internet. I don't know what's wrong with the new one- I'm pretty sure I can install it on my laptop, but it won't install on the desktop. And there's nothing wrong with the old modem- it's just the new one has wireless on it, and it would be uber-useful. For me, anyway. 0=) So I'm leaving it for the night and hopefully it will work tomorrow...or something. I hate when it doesn't work. I can't figure it out...it doesn't make any sense. And I'm almost 100% sure that if I can't figure it out, dad won't be able to either. And I'm definitely sure no one else in the family will be able to. ARGH.
Kit gets her wisdom teeth pulled out later today...oh, that will be fun. Neither Kaitlin or I swelled much when we got ours out...I went to school the day after (I clearly remember taking codeine during Mock Trial...that was so funny)...we'll see how Kit does.
Isn't she pretty?? =D
The 'rents say it's part of my graduation present...early so I can actually use it before I graduate. =)
The skates I got are a little small; we're returning them for a larger size (stupid feet 0=). Can't wait to hit the ice again...I miss it. =) I may actually be able to make RPI's free skate times next semester, too. =D That makes me happy.
I'm doing much better now than I thought I would be doing. This is a very good thing. I still haven't really processed things...prollie b/c I really don't want to dig up stuff from this past semester. I am enjoying relaxing...it's going to be really hard going to the Christmas retreat and then coming back and working...although, maybe not. It'll give me something to do and I can still sleep in...kind of. =)
All of that, though, is put into perspective by some of the goings on in South Asia, Africa, and the like. It makes me realize how very blessed I am...
And it would be really weird if I didn't post something like this and this.
