I finally did it!

I finally scanned in some of my pictures from South Africa...w00t! Some of them are behind the cut.

Yes, that is Cuddles, my teddy bear on top of Table Mountain. =D
This is the door to Baphumelele, the orphanage that we did some painting for during our last week in Capetown.
Bill looks kind of crazed, doesn't he? =) It was the game we were playing as we painted. It's kinda hard to explain...but you try to name movie stars...and there's a sequence to it. So if I said Nicole Kidman, the next person would have to say Kevin Spacey...and then Sandra Bullock, and then Balthazar Geddy (that one was for Carrie!), etc...and if you said a movie star such as Farah Fawcett, it reverses the order...but that's not the point of this shot! Lauren took this shot, and Bill & I are painting (him the ceiling, me a monkey on the wall), and some of the kids from the orphanage are watching us. They did that every once in a while, they were pretty curious as to what we were doing. The building would serve as a nursery for the many many babies and toddlers Baphumelele had...which is why we did lots of murals of animals.

Lauren was the artist on the team. She sketched all the animals on the walls, and then the rest of us got to color them in. =) Some of her creations (including the monkey!):
