weightlifting exercises?

Hey girls! I haven't posted in a while so I figured I'd give it a shot.

I'm 19 and a college sophomore.. so needless to say when I went into college I was 5'4.75" and weighed 125 lbs all day long. When I left for summer I was at about 130-132, and then by the end of August I was 139 :( Being home meant being away from the gym and my step squad, so I didn't get as much of a workout, even babysitting 50 hours a week and running around with little kids didn't seem to help much.

Anyways, since school started up again in late August I've been going to the gym 3x a week- twice for stepping, 2 hours each time, which is a great cardio workout. Then the third day I go, I usually do an eliptical for 20 minutes, a bike for 20, crunches, pushups, and lifting freeweights. I do crunches on a daily basis, usually between 100 and 200 spread out over the day.
I've lost about 5 pounds this semester, 4 of which came off in the first month... so now I'm sitting at a lovely 134 and I would LOVE to lose that extra 9 pounds to lose my lovehandles, inner thighs, and lower tummy..just to be more toned, you know? yeah.

But now that I'm away from a gym/practice again, I'm afraid it'll all come back :(

I have freeweights at home that I plan on lifting every other day, and I'm still doing crunches.. but does anyone have any suggestions for other things to do/try? Also, any weightlifting exercises to recommend? I'm sort of winging it with those.

Before college (spring '04):

(I'm second in from the left, blue dress- about 120-25 lbs)

September of this year in Boston:

(on the left- my middle section/thighs got bigger..boo- about 137-39lbs)

Early October '06:

(on the right, probably 136ish here)

A few weekends ago:

(left, around 133-34 lbs)

Thanks in advance for any kind of feedback, girls :) this community is such a good idea!
