depot quads in three steps!

Jun 17, 2009 19:26

Sorry for the super long hiatus, but i wasn't really in a mood to blog after exams as some complications came up... still isn't really in the mood but i've decided with the backlog, i should really start posting again...

I did this 'tutorial' quite long ago after i almost killed myself with a knife trying to top the top of the palette out.

i just  couldn't for the life of me remove the top layer of the palette no matter what and resulted in me spoiling lots of my pans. Hence, i tried this method and it works! uses lots of denatured alcohol though. =))

these are the things that you will need...

The hair pin is abit bent at the end after i have depoted the quad... makes it easier to use actually....
but a straight one will do, it may get bent though!!

Step 1: drip the alcohol into the groves between the pan and the palette. Don't worry if it wet your e/s, it has no effect on them, so just fill the space up!

Step 2: after leavng the pan to soke in the alcohol for awhile, (you'll know it's enough when you canuse your hairpin to move the pans around t's compartment) insert the hairpin in the the space between the pan and palette and GENTLY lift the pans out.

Step 3: after removing all the pans, just leave the palette to dry or wipe the excess alcohol away with a tissue. Stick a piece of the magnet and than a label and you're done!

I really hate handling knifes to depot so this is the best way for me.... hope this works fr you too! =))
