California is obviously a work state.
My English teacher has 4 different projects assigned.
1. Write a children's story on one chapter from the Odyssey. It has to be 3 pages ( on comp. paper) and must include pictures. Hand drawn are extra credit.
2. Write an analytical essay on different something in the Odyssey and what it symbolizes. (Like I care)
3. Make a movie poster for a book that you read on your own! Must be at least 100 pages and your poster has to have pictures and texture!
4. Write a story about a time when you were seperated from your home and had to get back. Must include ... bleh. Its supposed to be like an Odyssey.
All of them are do this week except the book project is due after spring break. But I have to do it this week because its not like I'm going to take a big peice of poster board on an early morning american airlines flight. I'm bringing suitcases. 2, maybe up to three, this is a long trip after all.
The good news is, I got a job! Its like a work at home job making labels for my godmother. Its boring and its easy but its $8.50 and hour, which to me is a lot. I just got my first paycheck yesterday. I'm going to buy magazine subsciptions to cosmopolitan and glamour. After that, I'll have like $55 left. So I'm probably going to maybe buy a new bathing suit for my trip or something. Maybe a beach towel since I don't have one. Theres no beach in Palm Springs.
I rented the notebook today, but I haven't watced it yet. I always rented the incredibles because no one will stop talking about it. But I didn't. Its weird, in Florida there are movies where if you went to se them, people would like... beat you up if you told anyone. But here, a really scary junior can walk into class talking about how awesome the incredibles was, or the girl who wears all black and falls asleep in the bathroom with some guys on the weekend can talk to you about how the ending to raise your voice was so sad. Its weird! Really not what I'm used to. I like it better though, because I can see a movie that I would normally think was dorkyy and then find out that half of the school saw it also. Feels good.
Anyways, today I'm home alone. :-( My brother went out skateboarding, and my mom wwent to pick up Cindy from LA. She should have been home in like 30 minutes, but something was wrong with the plane, so it doesn't even get to LA for another 2 hours and 3 minutes, and it takes an hour and a half to get home. So I ordered a pizza and watched Legally Blonde and read a book.
Me and my friend Laura were going to go to the movies and see the Ring 2 (my treat, since it would be her mom drivign and I just got paid more money then I am used to dealing with), but she had to go see her dentist in Rio Alto, which is forever away from here. I would go with someone else, but the only person I can think of right now is Lena, and shes a foodsucker. As in she would get me to 'split' popcorn with her and then suck it all up in the first 15 minutes, damn she eats alot. Plus hr parents work all day and its too far to walk, so we'd have noway to get there.
I should probably go work on one of my many projects instead of letting the entire day go to waste, I mean at least I could get something done. And I will, I really will.

(and More Love Quizzes) at Your New Romance. Can anyone think of a good title for a children's book about a guy who gets trapped on a witch's island for awhile, and then he gets to go free but the god of the sea is all pissed off at him so he makes it all stormy so his raft sinks but then another goddess whos like, his 'homeboy' and someone in my class put it, saves him and then he sleeps under a bush? Cause I can't, but I get 10 points off if I don't have a creative title. So if you have one then help me out!
