how did i miss talking about the dixie chicks in my grammys post? i actually didn't listen to any speeches as i was watching on tivo and mostly watching performance. at first, i was wondering if the chicks won because of their politics, but as i read about them on wikipedia, i found out that the album they won for was among the top 10 best sellers of last year. now, they could have a best selling album because of their political views, but it's not as if grammy voters picked an album out of obscurity to make a statement. they picked a critically acclaimed, best selling album, so i wouldn't really put this in the same league as fahrenheit 911 winning at cannes.
