(no subject)
well progress on the house has stopped. The city has requested all work stop until the city engineer can sign off on the work that has already been done. Which doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. The big concern is to not have the neighbors foundation crumble into my foundation hole. The contractors were ready to pour the foundation walls on friday until the city stepped in. SO the hole was left sitting open all weekend subjected to weather and other factors. It seems like the city is just making things worse then making anything better. Hopefully they can figure that out today. We are suppose to get alot of rain today. I need to be put asleep until all this is over.
I cant stop thinking about houses, closets, kitchens, ect. This will be one of my last slow weeks at work for a while. I think i will function better when I am occupied at work. My brain will have something else to focus on.
D and I are still staying in touch. We have been texting alot as well as an occassional phone call and email. With the possibility of the house being dropped right before Memorial Day, I had asked if he would want to come back to mpls for that weekend. I need to get the cabinets installed so the rest of the work can be done in the kitchen, floor, plumping, counters ect. He is pretty handy so it would be nice to have his help with this project. I just don't want him to think that is the reason I want him to come back. I sense he is already getting tired of this long distance thing. Especially since he has stated that he isn't ready to be involved in a relationship, especially a long distance one. Its not ideal. It has potential thou. Guess I will just take it day by day.
