So, I'm just playing doctor again, but I was recently informed that the weird burning / electrical type impulses shooting up from my feet to my calves might actually have a name... peripheral neuropathy or somesuch. And there's a tiny likelihood I might have developed it during the nearly 2 years of high dose klonopin I was on- it's one of the fun side effects of long term use, it turns out. I also don't believe in coincidence.
All I know is.. it sucks.. it prevents me from sleep.. nothing stops it. Well... benzos do for awhile. And the opiates do alot.. but their expensive and addictive and it's a place I've been before and dont wish to visit again. Gabapentin helps a bit too, but without a passport my connection to get that in TJ is a dry river. All I know is that the benzos stopped working again. I guess first thing i do when I wake up tomorrow (or when 8am rolls around, whichever is first) is to find WHY I'm not in the medicare system yet. Need to see a doctor asap and do something to fix / manage this.
Also on that note.. so does my dad. Best case scenario he's going through the wierdest opiate withdrawls after a fall down the stairs recently. Or he had minor stroke. Unfortunately evidence points to the latter but until I can conive a plan to get him to see a doctor... who knows.
