6-26-2004 Fahrenheit 9/11
Wow.
That is an understatement. I just saw Fahrenheit 9/11, the new film by Michael Moore. I have always felt that it would be an abuse of the position that God has put me in if I used my voice for something as petty as a political argument. True, I have written some politically themed songs, but always with the intent of providing people with an alternate way to view a particular issue, more of informing people of what is hidden, than trying to convince them of something. I always hope that people will be able to think for themselves, even after hearing my particular slant on an issue. What I need to say right now, is that I think that everyone, EVERYONE, in America needs to see that movie. Decide for yourselves what you think about George W. Bush and his regime, but PLEASE go see this movie. Please do not be pulled into the idea that the difference between being a Republican and being a Democrat is an issue of morality. Think for yourselves, but be educated in these matters. God has blessed you by being born in the richest, most powerful country that the world has ever known. Please do not abuse the freedoms that so many died and suffered for you to have by being ignorant of how to cast your votes. Please go see this movie, so that if nothing else, you can know why you disagree with it.
