At work I've been working photography for the Spring catalog. We've been putting in 10 hour days all week. We listen to a alt rock radio station that has a playlist of about 17 songs. Among the current pop songs (they all sound the same) is Harvey Danger's "Flagpole Sitta", which for some reason reminds me of an old friend I'll talk about later on in the post.
They say a goldfish has a 7 second memory span, and you can put it in a small bowl because by the time it makes it way around the bowl it has forgotten where it's been and will just keep swimming around. That is how I feel. I can't remember how long I've been at the photoshoots, and it feels like I've always been at the photoshoots. Now I have 160 images to color correct to perfection in 7 days.
I went to Savannah last weekend to buy cheep software, meet with old friends, and eat BBQ at sweet leaf. The software was still expensive. The old friends are all doing well, and I had a nice long conversation with an ex, which really helped put some closure down for me. The sweet leaf BBQ was ok, but not nearly as good as I imagined it. I thought it was going to be a perfect meal, but I walked away with a slight stomach ache and a craving for twizzlers. This is how I feel about the trip in general.
In more exciting (but unrelated) news, a previous girlfriend of mine (on good terms with) just got engaged. I'm very happy for her, and she seems very happy with herself. I haven't met the man, but I'm sure he's happy too. Let's all hold hands and sing Robert Mcfaren toons.
