the big one
On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday we had the big one. During the year there are about half a dozen festivals in Obanazawa but during the last 3 days we had the mother of all festivals in this town. There were literally thoasands of performers dancing down the main street on Friday for the Hanagasa festival.
It was quite a sight - especially for me as I and the rest of my taiko drumming group were providing the beat for the dances.
If I had know that I would be performing for a total of 5 hours I think I would have given more effort at practice! Oh well, I picked it up eventually.
In other news, I just finished editing a video. I quite proud of my effort!
