Holy crap...I just checked airfares to France for this May (I'm officially registered for the
Brussels 20Km. I guess the plan is to stay in France for a week+, train it to Brussels, then close it out in France) and fares are *way* up. Non-stops are usually well under $800, but now fares are over a grand; I guess this marks an official return to pre-9/11 fares. :( Ah, well. Almost all of the fares below a grand are multiple connections at really undesirable time slots with crazy layovers...yah, no thanks. Tristan's paying for his tickets in Euros. Cheaper.
Tristan purchased a scanner the other day. Lots and lots of old photos coming your way! ha. First up:
I think it's pretty hilarious that we have almost the same photo of us as kids in strollers. OK, so I'm not really in a stroller...I'm in a
baby swing, and since I was sooooooo born in the '70s, this was the sort of baby swing with a metal hand crank and when it got up to speed it would go "CLICKclack, CLICKclack" as it rocked me to blissful asleepness.
Anyway, look at Tristan's big, brown eyes! That hasn't changed at all, huh? :) But wait a minute...where'd all my f-ing hair go?!?!?! :(
More fabulous photos and memories from my childhood and beyond coming up! Scanners! Technology is amazing!
