Hey, B'Elanna! I've heard a lot about you--it's great to finally meet you.
Well, yes, I guess warp speed is a reasonable fear for a child--but it's NOT a reasonable fear for a trained Starfleet officer! Especially a Joined Starfleet officer! I wonder what my future hosts are going to think of me. *shakes her head*
listens sympathetically to B'Elanna's comments about her mother
I remember what it was like trying to embrace Klingon ideals when you're not Klingon. Oh, I married a Klingon, did I tell you that? As Jadzia, in my past life, I mean. His name was Worf, and he was VERY traditional. If I wanted to marry him, I had to go through all of these rituals in order to be accepted by his House; we had a traditional Klingon wedding, right down to the last targ sacrifice. Jadzia enjoyed the hell out of it, but I know I wouldn't have. I'm just glad it was her and not me!
Hmm...Pen pal. I'll have to research that sometime. You're probably right; it just sounded like a very odd term. Lana called us 'pen pals' in her last letter, which is why I asked.
im sure your future hosts will love you! you seem a great person and ive only known you a nanosecond!
when i was younger i hated my half klingon tradition, i hated my forehead ridges, and tried to cover them up at all costs.but now im trying to embrace my heritage-my human half is a little too weak to stomach some of their em culinary delicacies!
Jadzia enjoyed the hell out of it, but I know I wouldn't have. jadzia sounds like a gang-ho kinda gal!
Ezri seems genuinely touched by her words. ...Thank you. That's very sweet of you to say. *smiles*
Why did you hate your ridges? I think they're beautiful. Of course, that's coming from Dax, who has two lifetimes of Klingon-lovin' in her past. But I can understand not being able to stomach the gagh and rokeg blood pie. I remember, Jadzia and Curzon used to love raktajino, so I get the urge to drink it--but I hate it!
*grins* Yeah, she was a gang-ho kinda gal. She was almost Klingon at heart, despite her spots. And she did love a good Klingon blood feud, even if she didn't appreciate all the cutting of oneself and bloodletting.
