[Fanaccount] SM TOWN NYC
So despite the massive drama leading up to SM TOWN NYC (my friend dropped out the Wednesday before...leading to me having to rebook travel tickets, hotel, try and sell her ticket and try and find someone else to go...) it was a blast! I met some amazing new friends that hopefully I cam met up with if I ever go back to New York City again and maybe coming to Korea next year as well!
THE CONCERT BLEW MY MIND! (and I'm not referencing Super Junior although I've really starting to like them now. Probably won't follow them like I do SHINee but I will listen to more of their music). Key was everywhere! Solo stage with Krystal, rap with Minho, Shindong and Eunhyuk, duet with BoA and of course all of SHINee's songs, the man was on fire! I may finally have a bais in SHINee, however Onew's voice is pure sex. Sorry Jonghyun, but hearing him sing Nessun Dorma live, I melted. Taemin lives to dance and I'm even more in love with SHINee now then I was before. Also Key's English is really good. I think its actually improved since SM TOWN LA, as he sang a couple of songs in English and also did most of SHINee's introduction in English as well.
I was so happy to see Henry perform! At the end he got a flag from the crowd and was running around with a Canadian flag for a bit before he gave it to someone else (another Super Junior member but I can't really remember who..). They also brought him and the other Super Junior-M member Zhou Mi out for Don't Don, which was a nice touch. He's violin skills are amazing even though it wasn't his usual solo. Again, more and more love. Really I'm having problems putting all this into words.
Afterwards, me and my new friends went outside and saw the SM Town Tour Bus (hard to miss considering its all pink...). Got a picture with it, and we waited for everyone to come out. Took about half an hour, 45min but they did! Got some good pictures of SNSD members, and Super Junior, then SHINee came out and....my camera died. I WAS SO MAD! Like Key was looking straight at my camera and it just died! Probably from all the fancams I took during the concert (for supposedly having a strict no camera policy as Madison Square Garden) they really didn't seem to be enforcing it at all). I was so mad, go a picture of the back of Minho's head though....but oh... It was an amazing trip. We even headed to their hotel, and there was a lot of fans out there. Someone kept waving their hand out the window but it was really hard to tell who it was (they were really high up) and I have a feeling everyone was having a party of some sort after the concert....or sleeping.
The rest of the trip was okay, really wish I could of seen more of NYC but going to Liberty Island pretty much took the whole day Monday. Ran into Occupy Wallstreet, which was kinda boring actually...and loud. Free wifi though and cops that are directionally challenged... but oh well. Saw Yankee Stadium instead of the Empire State Building.
Also, 14 hour bus trips are horrible. I was so glad I brought my pillow but at the same time make for very, very long days. Still seeing SM TOWN live was completely worth it! I'm slowly working on getting videos up as well as pictures. Currently Facebook is refusing to upload more pictures.... I already have 4 videos up on Youtube and I'll get more up during the week.
